If you want to read a really good new book, by a CT author, pick up Smoke, Fire and Angels, about the deadly Avon Mountain crash in 2005, written by Mark Robinson, a survivor ... Meanwhile, another book that came out last week, a truly substantial book, well researched and edited and motivated for a good cause, Smoke Fire and Angels, about the Route 44 crash, by survivor Mark Robinson, gets a tiny mention ... Stillwater County Coroner Al Jenkins told Backpacker Magazine in 2001 that Kampf's discovery reopened three cases of missing persons, including that of Bruffey and hikers Scott Robinson and Jeremy Moors, who also disappeared on Granite Peak and have never been found.
