    Around 2 p.m. they were set free into the Roanoke River at the Weldon Bridge where they swam, floated and drifted, dodging rocks and boulders, fell gracefully and tumbling out of control down the rapids in a race to the finish line in River Falls Park where they were swept up by eager Chamber volunteers.
