    County cited for sludgeviolations  Oct 1, 2009
    The sludge is solids, Pee Dee River mud that is precipitated out of the water during the treatment process, according to County Finance Officer Lisa Rolan, who has been monitoring the situation. Rolan said the plant has had only six times when it was found not in compliance with quality standards since 1992 and most of those were either weather related or problems getting test reports submitted on time.     The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported today that the body of Dale Hudson, 56, was found by two fishermen Saturday in the Pee Dee River two miles south of the U.S. Highway 76 bridge. Mr. Hudson was reported missing Friday. (The Augusta Chronicle)

    S.C. health board gives nod to coal plant  Feb 13, 2009
