    Texas Supreme Court Favors Waco In Suit Over Deadly Cameron Park Fall  Nov 21, 2009
    AUSTIN (November 20, 2009)The Texas Supreme Court ruled in favor of the City of Waco Friday in a lawsuit filed by Debra Kirwan whose son Brad McGehee fell to his death on April 24, 2004 from a cliff in Cameron Park while watching drag boat races on the Brazos River. McGehee ignored a warning sign and crossed a wall to sit on the edge of the cliff when the rock beneath him crumbled and he fell about 60 feet to his death. (KWTX.com, TX)

    Researchers Identify What Makes Deadly Algae More Toxic  Nov 12, 2009
    Along the Brazos River in north and central Texas, more than 6 million fish have been killed since 1988 due to high golden algae levels, according to Texas Parks and Wildlife. In fact, just two years ago, thousands of dead fish washed up on the shores of Lake Whitney. (Science Daily)

    FREEPORT (October 12, 2009)--The Coast Guard recovered the body of one fisherman who was evidently swept into the Gulf of Mexico while wade fishing at Freeport and the search was scheduled to resume Monday for a second fisherman who also disappeared near the mouth of the Brazos River.     The sheriff s office is reporting they now have a positive identification on the first drowning victim stemming from an incident in which four men drove into the Brazos River in pickup truck on April 18.
