Continuing south, trout action doesn't become a factor again until you reach Port Mansfield and Baffin Bay, both of which produced some quality fish this past week on topwaters and jigs. As did the back bays around Port Isabel, which also doled out their usual ration of snook. (ESPN -- Outdoors)

While the group affirmed its support for the rights of aboriginal people to hunt polar bears in habitats that are stable, it said that bear populations in Baffin Bay (bordered by Greenland and Canada) and the Chukchi Sea (between the U.S. and Russia) may be suffering from a combination of overharvesting/illegal hunting and changes in habitat, such as loss of sea ice brought about by global warming.
